GEO/AEO and answer architecture

Give customer questions clear, verifiable answers

SEOsuper structures pages and FAQ so the official website answers important questions with definitions, boundaries, evidence and a credible next action.

01

Terms without the hype

AEO, or Answer Engine Optimisation, focuses on making direct answers clear and structurally available. GEO is used here as a working term for preparing coherent sources for generative search environments. There is no single industry-standard definition of GEO, and SEOsuper does not use it to mean geographic optimisation.

Neither term replaces SEO. A page still needs technical access, relevance, a distinct role and internal links before answer architecture can add value.

02

The basic chain

  1. A real customer question or decision.
  2. A page with a defined role.
  3. A direct answer with appropriate limits.
  4. Facts and evidence that support the answer.
  5. A next step consistent with the user's stage.
  6. Structured data only when it matches visible content.

FAQ

How is AEO different from SEO?

AEO gives additional attention to direct answers and answer surfaces. SEO remains the foundation for technical access, relevance, page roles and discovery.

Does every question need a separate page?

No. The page type depends on intent and decision depth. Many related questions belong in one service page, article or FAQ cluster.

Does FAQPage markup guarantee a rich result?

No. Structured data describes visible content to eligible systems; it does not guarantee display, ranking or citation.
